The Ulysses Emperor is a well-known swallowtail from Indonesia, as well as an Australian native including Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. They occupy tropical rainforests where they reside and feed on nectar of various plants. Their black wings feature an inner ocean blue coloration, underneath they are earthy toned with minimal colored markings. P. ulysses is an emblem of tourism in Queensland Australia.
